Who We Are
Collective Impact is a network of consultants that provides capacity building services to help organizations and communities be successful. It was formed to provide organizations and communities with comprehensive consulting and technology resources that strengthen their ability to achieve their mission.
Collective Impact helps organizations and communities build capacity. Capacity is the ability or power to do something or get things accomplished. We define capacity building as “strategies or solutions that empower organizations and communities to operate more effectively and efficiently.”
Collective Impact uses a strengths-based approach in building capacity. Organizations and communities often focus on their problems or needs. We believe that those we serve have great strengths to build upon. We see our role as helping identify and maximize those strengths by using an approach that emphasizes resources and capabilities. This approach is reflected throughout our values and operating principles.
Our Vision
Collective Impact’s vision is “for organizations and communities to be successful.” We believe that successful organizations and communities have the following characteristics:

Collaborative leadership – This refers to the belief that leaders exist at all levels of an organization or community. Collaborative leaders demonstrate high levels of trust, achieve team work, and are willing to give something up for the greater good.

Effective and efficient infrastructure – This includes those things that make organizations and communities function well, such as collaborative leadership, proactive communication, continuous learning, etc.

Innovative action – This refers to the implementation of “out-of-the-box” ideas, processes, and tools to achieve greater results.

Favorable market presence – This includes strong images and positive public opinion of organizations and communities and their efforts.

High social capital – This refers to the connections and networks that exist within organizations and communities and the value that these networks hold for their members.

Our Network of Capacity Builders
Bruce E. Decker and Denina Bautti-Cascio are the founders and Principal Partners of Collective Impact. Bruce and Denina have been providing capacity building consulting and technology services for organizations and communities for many years and have worked together in a consulting capacity for nearly ten (10) years. They have also worked with members of the Collective Impact network for many years. Recognizing the need for clients to have access to a comprehensive array of services provided by consultants with diverse expertise, they established Collective Impact, LLC.
Collective Impact draws from a diverse network of consultants to provide consulting and technology services for clients. We refer to this network of consultants as our network of capacity builders. This network represents many years of combined experience working with organizations and communities. With this experience comes an understanding of the capacity building needs of organizations and communities and the solutions to help them succeed. Our Clients
Collective Impact works with a diverse array of organizations and communities, including human service agencies, educational institutions, health systems, small businesses and start-up ventures, faith-based establishments, arts and cultural organizations, and community economic development entities. We define the term “community” as a geographic location (e.g., neighborhood, town, city, county, region, state, etc.) and/or a team of individuals and entities assembled around a common purpose (e.g., human services councils, small business associations, health collaboratives, community and economic development entities, etc.).
We have specific expertise in serving non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, entrepreneurs, multi-disciplinary groups, collaborative networks, and community teams. While we work with organizations and communities in a variety of locations and settings, we have extensive experience serving clients in rural and "small-town" environments.
